Before moving to Omaha in 1996, Dr. Crabb completed his Orthopedic Surgery training at the University of Rochester. He then served as an attending physician at the US Naval Medical Center in San Diego, where he taught Hand Surgery and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Crabb is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). He also represented Nebraska on the AAOS Board of Councilors for six years.

Dr. Crabb’s interest in the medical-legal field began in 2005 when he recognized the need for a specialized support system to enhance the evaluation process for injured workers. This led him to found Merit Medical Evaluations that same year, with the mission of providing the highest quality assessments. His passion for bringing experts together to improve outcomes has driven the company’s growth. Today, Dr. Crabb continues to conduct independent medical exams and other medical-legal services including virtual exams.
