Dr. Rudy Kotula, MD
Dr. Rudolf Kotula is an Infectious Disease Physician and Epidemiologist at Methodist Physicians Clinic in Omaha, NE, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine. He also serves as Associate Medical Director at Select Hospital and as a Research Investigator with Quality Clinical Research Inc.
Dr. Kotula earned his medical degree from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, in 1990. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School, followed by an Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In 2018, he further expanded his expertise by earning a Master of Science in Business Administration from Methodist College.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty certification in Infectious Disease, Dr. Kotula is licensed to practice in Nebraska and Iowa. His research interests include immunocompromised host management, nosocomial infection prevention, C. difficile, HIV/Hepatitis C, antibiotic stewardship, and new drug development.
He is an active member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American College of Physicians, and the American Association for Physician Leadership.
